The young girls of the New York City Municipal Orphanage live on just pennies a day. Under the selfless care of Miss Hannigan, they attend school, learn home economics, and practice good manners. And they dream of the day when they too will become part of a loving family...

To tel you the truth, we're very proud of the girls shown below. They are part of the cast of Shorewood Players' Annie. Most of them are veterans of stage, performing with the Players and other school, community and professional theatres. We consider ourselves very lucky to have them with us for this popular show.

While the plea above is just based on a fictional comic strip, there is a true financial need when it comes to producing a show like Annie. Even for an amateur production, expenses add up: royalties, sets, costumes, publicity, stipends for our creative team and theatre rental to mention a few. And ticket sales cover only about 60 percent of the expenses. A financially successful production needs donations from people like you to cover the expenses, and continue our 80 year tradition of Theatre For Your Community.
